FTP Access

I am attempting to access an ftp site through IE 6.0 SP2. I only get an error
that says windows not able to access this folder. I click ok and go under the
file menu and click login as and enter my user & password and same result.

I have checked the knowledge base and tried everything listed. Do I just
need to give up and us and FTP program?

Thanks,

Andy

Yes. Well, you should at any rate... Dedicated FTP clients are a must for
anyone who wants to control upload formats, manage content like scripts
easily, or apply permissions easily. However you can try opening IE,
clicking tools, options, advanced, find the PASV (or passive) setting and
try the other setting - the setting that you do not have currently enabled.
Close IE (probably, never really checked that one) and restart it and see if
you can access it then.

I did already know the answer to that. It is just convienent to use IE
without loading and setting up the other when working on multiple machines.

I did attempt this and still is not working. I appreciate the effort.

Thanks

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Change the setting for "Use Passive FTP" from checked to unchecked or from
unchecked to checked.
