Front Page hover buttons don't appear

OS: XP Pro
Browser: IE6

On two identical computers, both running the same
OS and Browser, one will not display the hover buttons
on a webpage. All I get is the placeholder with a red X.
It works fine from the second computer.
What is the fix for this?
I've installed all the updates on both computers.

FP hover buttons are implemented via Java. Check here:

Problems with Hover button can be related to some Java problems.
