While using windows mail I can recieve messages with large attachments. But
it won't let me forward the same message. I get the SMPT server has not
responded. to wait and nothing happens. Then I get an error message saying
your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Error Number:
0x800CCC0F. Is there anything I can do or change settings to let it send
larger attachments.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: These 4 commercials are better than the Super Bowl's
- SUPER FUNNY', Account: 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', Server:
'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I am using Mcafee. It came on new computer.

Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like:

AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

I uninstalled McAfee and custom installed AVG. I deselected the email
scanning option. But I still can not send the emails. Would you happen to
know of any other options to try. Help would be greatly appreciated. I thank
you for your time already.

McAfee sometimes leaves some problems behind after it is uninstalled.
You can take care of most of these by removing your email account
from Windows Mail and then creating it again.

You might also check if your email account is created correctly:

<http://onlinehelp.verizon.net/consumer/bin/flash/MSAcap_DSL_Verizon/SubAccounts_OutlookExpress.swf>

Note - this talks about subaccounts and identities for a while before
it gets to how to create an account under Outlook Express. Most
of the account creation works the same under Windows Mail, but
it does not support identities.

I take it that Verizon is your home ISP. Are you sending from home
when you get that error message?

Also, since McAfee, while it was still installed, may have corrupted
that mail account, delete the mail account, restart Windows Mail, then
recreate that account.
