Folder Views

I had to reload Windows XP Home Ed. and now my folder views will not stay as
I set them with the folders view pane and with the details view options nor
will the window size remain as I set it (full screen).

I have tried the remember folder view in numerous ways; I have set the DWord
value to 5000 in the registry. Every time I open a folder it always opens in
the default view with a small window and the view is a single pane.

I have read through many of the threads and none seem to solve my problem.

Any suggestions
