Files and Settings Transfer

I ran a Files and Settings Transfer prior to re-formatting my Hard Drive. I
instructed the Files & Trasfer Wizard to put the file on my external HD
(G:\). I reformatted and am going through the FUN of re-installing. I ran
the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to restore the settings. Followed the
steps fine up through pointing the Wizard to where to pick up the USMT2UNC
folder. Clicked Next and got the following...
" The location that you specified does not contain stored information.
Please type a calid path to the folder on a removeable disc. The disc must
be in the drive." That didn't sound right, so I tried to make a new Files
and Settings folder... which I did on the same HD and then tried to restore
and it began to restore the Files and Settings. I compared the two folders
and the identical files (different size of course) are in each folder. I
don't understand. I have done Files & Settings Transfers before and always
used another external HD? A long time ago, I ran into this problem but I can
remember ther solution? HELP, I could really use those settings about now.
THANK YOU!
