Files and Settings Transfer Wizard

I am trying to use the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" on my new
computer with Windows XP Professional on it to transfer data from an old
computer also with Windows XP on it! This wizard will not recognize the CD
Drives on either computer in order to create the Wizard disk? What is wrong?

You need no 'wizard disk' to use the Files and Settings Transfer function of
Windows XP.

Do the CD drives work in both computers? Can the CD drives read/load the
WIndows XP Professional installation CD you have? Use said CD to run the
wizard from on the machine you are moving *from* (old), store the export
onto an external/networked location, use said CD to run the wizard from on
the machine you are moving *to* (new) and point it to the external/networked
location.

I'm pretty sure you can only create the Wizard disk on a floppy or maybe a
flash drive. CDs are not generally writable without specific software.
