Files and Settings Transfer Wizard Help

I just bought a new computer, so I'm new to Windows XP. I have an old
computer (Windows Me) and I was want to transfer files from that computer to
my new one, using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. I am using Parallel
Cables to connect the computers.

I bought the computer as a package, so it did not come with the Windows XP
CD. The Wizard suggests that I should create my own Wizard disk using a
floppy, but my new computer did not come with a floppy drive, so I cannot
create a wizard disk to run on my old computer.

I have tried copying the Wizard program onto a regular CD, and tried running
it on my old computer, but an error always occurs and I have to close the
program. I have copied the program onto the CD several times, and tried
using it on my old computer, but the error continues to occur.

Is there a way I can fix this problem?

The only thing I can come up with is to buy an internal or external floppy
drive and install it myself, but that's way out of my budget.

Thanks.

Actually most floppy drives retail for about 15.00 Either way,a floppy
drive is
way to small of storage space for those files, youd need 15-20 disks.Try
coping
the collected files to a new folder that you create, once all data is
collected,write
them to a cd,then transfer cd to new computer. What files could one want based

What I need to transfer are mp3's, videos, and Word Documents. I could write
those files onto a disc and just transfer them onto the new computer, but the
problem is that my old computer doesn't have a cd burner.

I need to create that Wizard Disc to run on my old computer because my old
computer doesn't have the program, so that's where the Windows XP CD comes
in, which I don't have.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again.
