file sharing

I am using xp pro on a laptop on my home network. i use a wireless router.
when i am on my laptop i can access files across the network but when i go to
my home pc i cannot access the files on my laptop. my laptop shows up in
"workgroup computers" but i cannot access any of the shared files. i have
turned off windows firewall and also went through the network setup wizzard
to re-enabled file sharing. i have been to the folder options and file
sharing also shows as enabled. i am running out of ideas.
