Hi everyone after all your help with my graphics card I have now another question for you.

I have FEAR running on a AMD 3000+, 512MB RAM, Radeon X1600 Pro 512MB.

Will this be ok??

Try get one stick of 1 gig then. Save buying two sticks of 512

If your board accepts Dual channel memory the get the 512sticks

If you can, do the first option ;)

You can always add another gig in near future then :D

Yeah, you can get one gig sticks for around 50 quid, i think (correct me if im wrong).
Then FEAR should run high at most settings :D

That all depends on what settings!!

As for the memory that all depends again on settings and grade/brand

But with his machine it should be fine yes ;)

Yes but what he has told us about his machine, it should run very well if he has that memory upgrade :D:)

Find out what your current memory is first.

If you dont know what it is, google pc wizard - its a utility tool that tells you what hardware you have. From the sounds of things i assume you have PC3200 ram, but make sure for yourself :)

Crucial are a good, typical company to choose from :D

FEAR should run smoothly, i would imagine it would run nicely at high settings on 1280x1024 if your monitors res goes that high.
If you have 1024x768 resolution on your monitor, then you should be expecting to see around 100 frames per second, very smooth:thumb::D

Good to hear :thumb:
The freezing is probably just a bug in the game, patch it up if they release one :D
