Exporting Contacts from a Public Folder

Outlook does not appear to be able to export contacts (e.g. for making
envelope labels) from a public folder of contacts (on Exchange server) even
though those contacts can be readily chosen directly from the public folder
as recipients for sending emails etc. Is this a general restriction or do I
have a specific individual problem to investigate here? Export from a
personal contacts folder works fine.

Allied to this and probably having the same root cause, the Labels wizard in
Word 2003 also appears to be unable to aquire contacts from a public contacts
folder, though aquiring records from a personal contacts folder works readily.

I currently can't verify this but if you mark the Public Folder as a
favorite folder can you select it then? Otherwise export the list to Excel;
