I got my new computer. The servers are w2k based.

does it mean?

Check the ipconfig/all on that XP. Is everything pointing to the server-IP?
How many nics in the server?

Run netdiag on that machine [XP] looking for failed tests such as secure channel and
domain membership. It sounds like the machine account/password is bad and the machine
may need to have the account reset with netdom or unjoin/rejoin machine to the
domain. Make sure the times on the two computers are in synch. --- Steve
