Yesterday I tried to do a scan with AVG and got the following error:
Unable to open the Server service. Server performance data will not be
returned. Error code returned is in data DWORD 0.

I also tried to do a scan with Spybot, and Adaware and get the same error.
I have checked the Server service and it is set to Automatic and is started.
I for the life of me dont know why all of a sudden I am getting this Perfnet
error. I havent installed any new programs and use CCleaner regularly
(daily).

Would anyone have any information on this or direct me somewhere that may.
Any help and assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

No it didnt Wes. Ive seen that already. I dont know if I should be looking
somewhere in the Registry to reset a DWORD, wipe my hard drives and start
over, or what. Im wondering if this is something I should send to Microsoft
and let them figure this out or what. There doesnt seem to be much
information on this.

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

Scan down the Name column and find the "Server" service.

What are the Status, Startup Type and Log On As columns for that service?
