esanetworks and inability to send suspected spyware report

Microsoft Antispyware (MA) reported attempted hosts file change by
bstowers.mesanetworks.net which I blocked. (IP address: esanetworks.net
127.0.0.1)
I tried to add this (bstowers.mesanetworks.net) and
www.esanetworks.com and www.esanetworks.net to my RESTRICTED sites list and
MA popped up a warning that esanetworks was attempting to be added to my
TRUSTED sites list, which I blocked...twice.
I attempted to send a suspected spyware report but got message "check your
internet proxy settings and try again", so I am putting this info here. My
husband and I both recieved this on our computers at the same time; we run
Webroot, Ewido, and Norton Security suite also, and only MA reported the
attempted hosts file change. I have no idea how to "check my internet proxy
settings"; my web browsing and email work fine. Any ideas why adding a
restricted site would pop up a "adding to trusted site" warning? And, why
can't I send a suspected spyware report in MA. And what is this
bstowers.mesanetworks?

The issue with sending the suspected spyware report is a bug--the cause is
understood, and it will be fixed in beta2.

I've definitely seen your issue before--an erroneously worded message upon
the addition of a site to the restricted sites list. This is often done by
some other antispware application on the system--so one way to look at this
is to view it as an application conflict.

My sense of what you saw is that it was an effort by another antispyware app
on your system, probably consequent to a definition update, to add something
to your restricted sites list. This should be a Good Thing, and it would be
best to allow this.

So--in summary--I don't think from this evidence that you are infected with
spyware--I think you are seeing one or more bugs in the program, and one
which is particularly annoying, since it reverses the sense of what is
really happening.
