Suspected Spyware Report Not Going Through

N

NL

I've tried to send a suspected spyware report because
AOL's spyzapper found 2 adware programs spyware didn't
but I keep getting an error message telling me there's a
problem with my proxy settings. What's the deal with
that?

One of the programs detected by AOL had a name like
Adhio_ _ I don't remember the full name and cannot
retrieve the info now that the programs are blocked.

Hi NL

The proxy setting issue is a bug in Beta1, Im hoping they
know the cause of this and can fix it because it seems to
only effect some users. I get the same error messages on
2 pc's which do not have proxy settings in place plus
MSAS can get updates without problems so it must just
need some repairs to make it work correct for all the
beta users.

Regarding AOL if you go into c:drive and then program
files you may have a AOL folder then a area for the
spyzapper, If you do then its possible you will find a
quarantine folder in there which will give you info on
the files if the scanner itself cannot give you details
on what it deletes. Ive never used AOL so cannot be much
help on that, If you get the names though please post
them as It will help MS to know if they are missing
Adware entries.

Thanks, Andy--they do have an in-house repro of the proxy settings issue. I
expect it to be gone in beta2.
