working on it. In the meantime, I tried to email and got this message. My

If there are any messages in the Outbox that won't go on to the outgoing
email server and won't delete, they often keep other outgoing mail to
the same server from working. Download and install this hotfix, with
Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether you have a 32-bit version of
Vista or a 64-bit version, try the hotfix for the 32-bit version first.
Certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those from
Norton or McAfee, tend to cause stuck messages and other problems
in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a
program, remember where to find the hotfix, and hope it will install
again if you need it again. A recent version of the Trend antivirus
program also causes assorted problems in Windows Mail.

If the hotfix doesn't delete those messages for you, it should at least
make it possible for you to do it.

When you try to delete the message what happens? What exact message did you
get then? Did you try Robert's suggestions?

Hi Gentlemen,
I am done crying and have tried Robert's link. The stuck emails are now
gone!! Thank you. The error message is still there though..lol. Bob, I got
rid of my alias accounts any further thoughts? Oh and after the rogue
emails decided to depart, I restarted my computer.

OK! Progress...thanks Robert so far. Now, you say the error message is
still there. But by now, you should know the drill. We really need to see
the message every time in order to tell if we made progress.

But here's another thought and maybe we can kill two birds with one stone.
You might want to consider Windows Live Mail (WLM), a replacement for
Windows Mail (WM)? It has some improved features you can study here:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

It should come up painless and and fix your problem at the same time. You
still have to have it configured right. So if that's the problem we are
still faced with that. But at least you will have nicer Mail Client to work
with, at least from the reports I've seen. Take a look. It should only
take about 10 minutes to bring up.

Bob,
With every thing I have been through today, you can imagine how frightening
a prospect it is to download something new!:) I will do it if you think it
may solve my problem but...do I need to do something with my WM first? And
will it affect everything in my Windows Media (pictures and what not)?
Again, I am sorry for my naivete but this is ALL kind of new. I did read the
link you sent and free is a plus.

Ok, You don't need to do this. Save it for another day. But first to
answer your questions, it should not effect anything else and should be
easy. It took me about 10 minutes when I did one of mine and that included
converting all my mail files and settings over. It was painless...but.
Let's see where are we. ...

You need to test your Windows Mail now. Send mail to yourself and see what
happens. Post your error message if you get one, please.

Deleting the whole Outbox seldom works. I've already sent you a way
to make it so you can delete all the messages in it, though.

It sometimes helps to remove all your email accounts under Windows
Mail, then restart Windows Mail and add them again, to make sure
you have not set one of the options to something other than what
the instructions assume doesn't need to be changed because the
default setting for new email accounts under Windows Mail is the
correct choice.

Robert,
Thank you for the suggestion. I have actually tried that to no avail. I am
really pondering either living with the error message or trying WLM. I will
see what if anything comes up as a solution before I brave WLM.:)
Thank you again,
Bash

Bash,
If the error is still occurring your e-mail is not working. So as I asked
before, please post your last error message.
