Error message 404

I had located a patch for this error, when I dowloaded it
I was told that I needed to install IE sp1. Whidh I did
when I went back to download patch it repeated the same
message. The file name is q827667.exe

Are you absolutely sure that you do not have a parasite causing these 404
errors?

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
