Recently I connected to the Internet for the 1st time and soon after automatic
Windows update asked to update Service Pack 2. During the installation,
error messages appeared about running out of memory. I have an emachine
and the computer keep rebooting.
After hours of trying to resolve the problem, I had to reload the XP software
from the recovery CDs.
The system is back-up again. However, I definitely don't want to load this
Service Pack 2 because of the above problem. How do I 'stop' the
automatic windows updater from continually asking me to run this update?
Thank you for your prompt reply. It's frustrating!
