dohhe.exe on my computer

X

xkeops

I've just installed fresh&new XP pro & SP2 on my machine, ZoneAlarm and
Avira as antivirus.

Frustrating to see at the end the internet connection getting dropped
in no more than 5 min. I found out in ZoneAlarm dohhe.exe having rights
to outside (probably during installation I didn't pay attention).

So computer stop accessing the internet until I blocked in ZoneAlarm
the access for dohhe.exe.
This was my solution and I am happy I figured it out.

For who knows pls let me know what is dohhe and why my antivir didn't
catch it so far.

Thanks,

xk

Please submit a sample of "dohhe.exe" to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition, unless told
otherwise, Virus Total will provide the sample to all participating vendors.

You can also submit a suspect, one at a time, via the following email URL...
mailto:[email protected]?subject=SCAN

When you get the report, please post back the exact results.

Nothing on the net (at least according to google) regarding this file.
It could be something your PC received via XPs most recent exploit.
Unplug from Internet, and once dohhe.exe issue is fixed, than please get
yourself behind a NAT Router and go to www.windowsupdate.com (I'm
assuming you're on Cable or DSL). Goodluck.

Hi xkeops,

Looks like dohhe.exe is a trojan. I searched for the term dohhe.exe at
www.dogpile.com and got a single result. But the page is not in
english. So I could make anything out of it. You might have translate
the page into english by some means.

Try and let me know.

Thanks,
Balaji.

So I could make anything out of it.

It was a typical "help I'm infected" message, full of scan protocols.
One of the other people recommended using HijackThis!, and just click
on the suspicious entries and choose "remove selected"; as far as my
non-existent french knowledge could tell me.

I checked with googles language tools, and the broken translated English
leads me to the same conclusion. Something that might be worth
mentioning (though it may not necessarily mean anything relevant to the
OP) is that dohhe is all four instances on this page is a .dat file, not
a .exe file, so in this case it wasn't being executed (what data it was
storing, who knows. Maybe it was a data dump file for one of the many
trojans on that computer, or it could just have been a data file for
some legit French proggie for all I know.

Cheers,

Will
