Disabling Wireless Link to IR Sync Palm

When I position Palm device near Laptop IR port, Wireless
Link app seizes port for potential file transfer, and
won't permit Palm to HotSync

Doing a google search it seems your only solution is to turn off Wireless
link while you do your hotsync
(Control panel, Wireless Link, uncheck Use wireless link to transfer images
blah blah)
