Direct3D

Tom

I"m running WinXP Home SP2. I downloaded and intalled DirectX 9.0c. I have a nVidia G400 card which is able to work with Direct3d. When I attemted to run an application that required Direct3D, I got an error msg saying that Direct3D was not available. I used the system tool to access the DirectX diagnostic tool. There were no problems found with the DirectX files. However the Direct3D was not available and the button for testing was greyed out. There was a note at the bottom which said to download the latest drivers for the card. I have downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. I still have the problem. I've made sure that Direc3D is enabled in the card setup.
I've looked at a good number of the problem reports and have not found on similar to this. TIA Tom
