DirextX problem

Hi. Trying to use Flight Simulator 2002 for the first time in a while,
getting black screen when I start. Did dxdiag, everything ok except for this
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D
rendering): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)
All other tests were successful. Have latest version, 9.0c installed. Tried
reinstalling, message came up that I have latest version, wouldn't reinstall.

Other specs
XP sp2
P4 1500ghz
512MB ram
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
(have used this game with same card within past 2 years, good results,
updated the driver a few weeks ago)
Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Any help appreciated
TIA,
Patrick

You might try reverting your Nvidia drivers back to the version you
had before updating them. If that doesn't work, try re-installing the
latest Nvidia drivers you have. I don't believe the problem is with
your version of DirectX.

Try lowering Graphics Hardware Acceleration in the Troubleshooting area.
If that helps, you need _different_ drivers for the Nvidia card.
