Direct Connect and Sharig Files

I'm trying to transfer data from my old computer (2000 Pro) to a new one
(XP Pro). I have them connected via a Direct Connection on LPT1 - the
old one is the Host and the new one the Client. I am able to connect the 2
computers. But, I haven't been able to copy the files between the computers.

I've tried mapping a network drive and it can't find the computer. I've
done lots of searches and can't find any help on this.

I found info on the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. But, I don't have a
floppy drive on the new computer and I don't have the XP CD.

How do I see/copy the files from my old computer?

Thanks!

Do the computers have Ethernet adapters? It would be much easier to
network them that way than to network them using parallel ports.

See this site for help with the direct parallel connection:
