Dial Up Network Connection does not appear

B

Bears Den

I have a strange one for the group. I created a dial up
connection and am able to successfully connect to the
Internet.

The problem is that the network connection icon does not
appear on the activity bar located next to the clock on
the taskbar. If I open 'network connections' in control
panel, there are no connections shown. For some reason,
the dial up connection is missing.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help. I checked out that knowledge
article and it didn't help. I am running XP and those
articles are for 2000. Any other ideas?
