Never dial a connection

I am running Windows XP with SP1 and I use a wireless
network. The problem is that under IE's internet
options > connections tab, the option is always changed
from never dial a connection to dial whenever a network
connection is not present whenever I restart the PC even
though I apply the change. Does anybody know how to
ensure that the setting stays to never dial a connection
to prevent annoying dial up boxes?

Do you still have some dial ups configured? If so try
removing them all and then check the "never dial" and then
the LAN should take it on from there
