Desktop installer

Hi everyone,

I was looking at the TD and I found this component "Desktop QFE Support -
Hotfix Q824706 [Version 5.1.2600.1106.2, R1901]". I already have the QFE
Installer[Version1.0, R7] in my configuration, and so far, the new patches
work ok on the run time image. Do I still have to include the "Desktop QFE
Support - Hotfix Q824706 [Version 5.1.2600.1106.2, R1901]" in the
configuration?

Hi again,

Sorry I got confused along the way and listed a customised component below
(QFE installer) thinking it was a MS component.

The odd thing was, Hot fix Q824706 was initially enabled in that customized
component, but now disabled. I inherited this configuration file, so I have
no idea why this was done, but I guess maybe it was because now we are
building on SP2?

I did a check on the required components in the Desktop QFE Installer sld
with my configuration file. Found that the files were all there. So I think
that my image can run QFEs, even though the Desktop QFE installer component
was not found in my TD?
