When I open Outlook 2002 I get message: "Unable to open default e-mails
folders. Could not open the item. Try again."

Trying again does not help. The system has .pst files on it.

Open the Mail applet in Control Panel and make sure your profile is pointing
to the correct PST. If so, see if you can access it by other means, i.e.,
that you can copy it, for example.
