Outlook 2002 will not open

I am running outlook 2002 on windows xp. When I try to open outlook I get
the following message "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Could
not open the item. Try again." I then click OK. Then another message pops
up. "Would you like to open your default File System folder instead" If I
click yes it just shows the drives on my computer. If I click no, outlook
closes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Any
help would be appreciated. I am basically wanting to use outlook to sync
with my pda. Any suggestions as to what is wrong. Thanks for any help.

Thanks. That worked.

Reinstalling won't help with configuration issues. Sounds like you have
setup Outlook to use an Exchange server which you are not using. Configure
your mail profile with the correct mail account. See;
