when opening outlook 2000 recieve a popup message "unable to open your
default e-mail folders outlook could not start because a location to send and
recieve mail could not be found"

Create a mail profile in Control Panel, Mail and select that in your Account
setup: "Mail deliver to...." location.

Hi,
Please search if your had created a PST , saved on your local drive also
check if you have moved to different location, if the delivery of mails was
on your PST you would get this type of errors the reasons could be moving the
PST or deleting the PST. If you could locate the Old PST just go to control
panel --> mail--> delivery .set this location if not Create a new PST and set
the delivery location to the new PST.

Outloko 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode doesn't allow you to create profiles
with the Mail applet in Control Panel.
