Date and Time on toolbar is dimmed

I am using Front Page 2003. I want to insert the date
and time using the Date and Time feature from the Insert
menu at the top of the page. The problem is the date and
time is dimmed, and I can not use it. I am in the page
view as the FP directions say to be in when you do this.

Anybody have any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure the highlight is in an open Web page.

If you are and Date And Time is still dimmed:
1. Choose Page Options from the Tools menu.
2. Click the Authoring tab.
3. Select the Author Time Web Components check box.
4. Click OK.

Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I am now out of town, and will not
be back at my computer that has Front Page on it until
Friday.

The highlight is indeed an open web page...so I do not
think that is the problem. I will go to the page options
tab from the tool menu when I get home, and see if that
solves the problem.

Again, thanks!
