D346PRT SCSI Controller driver error during RC1

During install, I get a message that I must close the install, upgrade the
following driver, and then attempt the install again. The driver is for this
device:

SCSI and RAID controllers: D346PRT SCSI Controller

When I check that device in device manager, the driver was provided by
Microsoft. The information I have on the driver is:
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 7/1/2001
Driver Version: 5.1.2600.2180
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Publisher

When I attempt to check for updates, it says that the driver has been
updated, but nothing really changes. Same driver version and all. I am not
100% certain (since I typed up this post and don't want to reboot and check
my BIOS) but I believe that my mobo is an Intel D845EBT. If that info is
necessary, I will update this post.

Anybody out there have any idea what to do from here?

Sadly no, I never found a solution. I, however, did not get a chance over the
last week or so to investigate further.

Don't know if this will help with your D346PRT SCSi error, but I used a
utility program called Reg Crawler to locate all entries for "A347SCSI" in
registry. Checked off and deleted. I didn't receive message to upgrade
this driver any more and proceeded to the actual install process - that's
another story for researching ,as get to approx 50% when receive error
0x80070241.
