Cryptographic Services

I cannot apply the windows hotfixes as I don't have
Cryptographic Services installed. I'm running Windows XP
(Home). Any ideas on how to rectify this as I've hit a
brick wall. Cheers

I'm sure it is installed,most likely it just disabled,
Check here>control panel>admin tools>services.
Scroll down to Cryptographic Service right click on it
and select properties,under the "startup type" window
select automatic then apply. You are now good to go.

go to start and clck on help and support center.. in the search at the top
type in " cryptographic services xp sp1" click on the 3rd link down the list
when it finds the results. it should say "You cannot install some updates or
programs" follow the instructions form there ..

Hi, sorry, I'm German and do not know all the american Words. My problem is that all my documents in one "ordner" are lost. I used the "ARbeitskoffer", the remote instrument for carrying dates and wanted to sweep off one document, now they are all lost. How can I manage it to get them back???? I tried to set up an older systemmirror, but they are also tilt. Should I use an encryptic prog?
