Conflict between 2 CD/DVD burning software

I just install Nero CD/DVD burning software and have been running Roxio Easy
CD/DVD Creator 6 for some time with no problems. Just installed a new DVD/CD
2X internal burner drive. Has anyone out there had conflicts between the 2
software programs and problems with burning data DVD's? I'm new to burning
DVD's and it seems much more touchy than burning CD's which I have for a
couple of years.

Please respond to (e-mail address removed)

Thanks all..........Rick

In what way?

I used to have constant problems with both - but it was actually
mainly the DIrect CD program which I use a lot.

Since 6.0 EZCD no problems.

Some media is really crappy with DVDs and some burners arent as
compatible with a variety of disks. My NEC 1300a has burned almost
everything I put in it - cheapo and decent media. It really likes the
1x rated COMPUSA generic cheapos which it burns at 2x all the time.

However Compusa had a special sale on a 10 pack over the Xmas season
that was different - white vinyl tops and real cheapo looking instead
of the more finished looking silver top cheapos which people say are
Princos. Those were a disaster. I think 50 % of them had weird
problems with them. Some wouldnt close, others had massive errors -
others seemed to burn but would have problems here and there.

Those two programs interfere with each other. You need to Uninstall one of
them for the other to work right.
