Clear History Doesn't Work...

IE 6 - Tools Menu - Internet Options - Clear History

When I clear my history, it is cleared in the open
window. After I close it and open a new one, the history
is back. I have tried it with only one instance of IE
open at a time and it doesn't make a difference. Help
anyone?!? Please pop me an email if you know something:

Rick,
With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Another program might be locking your history.
