I typed the following address in the address bar (http://www.bryant.com) months ago and since cleared the IE history folder,(several times). If I click on the history button this url does not show, but, if I begin typing a new url which has a "b" in it after the www then this url http://www.bryant.com comes up as well as all the links I went to from it.
I went into the registry and searched for bryant and found one url under Internet Explorer typed urls. I deleted it and I still am not able to clear what I am going to call the history.
How do I clear this website from my IE history?
This is very annoying and distracting.

Alan,
Thanks, it looks like you put me on to something.

Have you tried IE-Tools-Internet Options-Content-AutoComplete?

Alan,
I downloaded and clicked install for "DelTypedURL" but did not have any
success in fixing my problem. When it installed it did not register with
add/remove. How do I uninstall it or remove it form my computer?
Or, am I suppose to click install every time I want to try cleaning up IE
history including typed urls? I am not really sure how this thing is
supposed to work.
Can you help??
Thanks,
James

I found an app that does what I needed to do. It is called Crap Cleaner and

Thanks for all help.
I still need to know how to remove "DelTypedURL".

It is not a program. DelTypedURL.inf will not be in Add/Remove.
To use: right-click and select: Install
That removes the TypedUrls without deleting History, though delete
History should also delete TypedUrls. If it doesn't, then you may keep
the .inf file to use again.
It is not installed and does not need uninstalling. It is only a text
file and can be read in Notepad.
If you have no further need for it, then delete it.

It doesn't sound like it has anything to do with your problem, so
perhaps you better read all the rest of the information.
TypedUrls are only the 25 (maximum) items in the dropdown on the
right-hand side of the Address bar.
