Cant uninstall version 4.6 in order to get version 6.0

I have had version 4.6 messenger for awhile now. Then I
downloaded version 6.0, but it was my mistake, that when
I downloaded the 6.0 I didnt exit out of version 4.6. I
had both versions running at the same time and has
created a big problem for me. I have went to Control
Panel and removed the program and now it is gone from
Control Panel, but I still am running version 4.6. I
cant find an unistallation anyplace for the 4.6, so I
tried downloading the version 6.0 again and tried to exit
out of version 4.6 but when I click on the 4.6 icon to
exit out...it tells me there is another application
running and I cant get the version 4.6 to exit out. I
have stopped all running programs and it still says it. I
have went to all folders trying to find an uninstall msn
messenger and cant find one. I need to totally uninstall
everything about the msn messenger and start all over
from scratch again. Can someone please tell me how to fix
this or how to totally uninstall every component in msn
messenger so i can get back on track normally with the
msn messenger? I want the version 6.0. Thanks

Erase the folder Messenger in Programs Files. Uninstalling
Messenger from Control Panel do not erase that folder.
