Can't uninstall msn messenger. Please help

When I try to go to add/remove programs and uninstall msn messenger. Version
7.5. I get this message. Patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch package exists and that you can access it or contact application vendor
to verify that this is a valid windows installation patch package.

Also when I try to use " Run " and enter this RunDll32
advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Nothing happens. Please hel;p

I have also deleted all the regedit keys I could find.
