Cant install windows XP

Im trying to insatll windows XP SP1 vertion,
I formatted the HDD, it began to insatll normally, in the
installing window (when the intall process comes to
window mode)

when i go to the log file, shows me these error messeges..

Error:

sxs.dd : Syntax error in manifest or police file "H:\i386
\asms\60100\msft\windows\common\controls\controls.man" on
line 0.

Error:

installation failed H:/i386/asms Erroe messege: Mainfest
parse eroor: An invalid character was found in text
context.

I used to install using this same Cd to my same computer
before, i dont know what wrong this time
what can i do? is this a problem with the CD?
or my computer?
please help me......
