Hi Andy
I am unable to display html graphics unless I go to View,
Encoding, then click Western European! I have to do this
for every page to get it to display properly. Instead of
graphics I get a box with an X in it. Many other pages
just do not display properly until I go through this
ritual. Anyone have any ideas to fix this? It's driving
me crazy!

The temporary I.E. files folder is a cache for web pages that you have
visited. I don't know why Microsoft sets the default so high, but I have
seen 2gb set for storage. This and other setting can be changed to decreace
the size of the storage area, and supposedly delete the I.E. temp file when
you close the browser.

Some image/graphics programs will change file associations.

Try clearing the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and
delete offline content.)

"Show Picture" option.
Then, go to Internet Options>Advanced Tab
Show Pictures - check option if
