Graphics and images

I am using Win98, IE 6.0 and connecting via DSL
When I go to certain web pages the images and graphics don't display unless I click on View, Encoding and check Western European (Windows) or UTF Code then the page reloads just fine. The problem is it won't stay that way. Everytime i go back to that page I have to go trhough the same steps over and over. Is there a fix and if there is, what is it

Do you have SBC DSL? I had the same problemand I found the reason to their Connection Manager. I stopped using it and the the problem is gon
