cannot download patches

Hi
When I try and update the following updates, they will not install, the
usual licence comes up, the download line flashes across the screen and then
I get the list of Red updates that cannot be installed...

The 2 updates are

1. Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (822925)

2. Security update for Microsoft Data Access components (823718)

Can anyone help please? Is there any other way of downloading and
installing these patches?

In the information section for each update there should be a link for "more" information. Click on that and there will usually be a link in the popup page where you can download the update directly.

Hi Bill,
Many thanks sort of got there in the end, it was not quite as you said, but
eventually got the two patches to down load.

Windows update still shows one of the patches to download, I have just
ignored it.
