This may have been asked before, I don't have a lot of time. I am TRYING to
install Win. XP. When the setup starts copying xp setup files, some files
will not copy and it asks to either retry, skip file, or quit setup. What can
I do?

Clean the CD...
Try a difference CD drive...
Make sure all internal connections (riboon cables/etc) are well seated.
Move the memory around in the machine (in order to make sure it is well
seated.)
If you just added memory - remove all but one stick of it and try again.

I just swapped memory from my old computer in exchange for the other memory
in the computer a couple days ago.

When I was doing an office 2000 install, the comp. told me to verify the
information on the cd. I was advised to browse the CD and that worked great.
Should I do the same with this CD?

I've had this exact problem before, and faulty memory was the cause. Try
downloading Memtest and leave it running for a few hours, see if it flags
the memory as bad.
