Cannot access Quickbooks Premier 2005

I downloaded Quickbooks Premier 2005 edition for the first time. It looks
like everything took alright. The big problem is when I try to open it I get
a window that states

' Windows XP and Windows 2000 users must have Power Users or Administrator
group rights in order to run Quickbooks. Please contact your system
administrator about being granted those rights.'

I will admit that I don't have alot of in depth computer experience but I
know that I am the administrator. If I right click on the Quickbooks icon and
select run as......it shows a current owner as something that I don't
identify with.

Install QuickBooks again, after you change 'owner objects' setting (in Pro
Edition. Home will need to reinstall the QuickBooks to the
.../allusers/shared documents/.. folders)

(on Pro)
Go to Start/Run, and type : GPEDIT.MSC Local Computer Policy> Computer
Configuration> Windows Settings> Security Settings> Local Policies> Security
Options> System Objects: Default owner for objects created by members of the
Administrators Group. Set this to "Administrators group" instead of "Object
Creator".

I am having the same problem as well with Quickbooks Basic 2005 install on
Windows XP Professional. When I called Intuit, they insisted this is a
Microsoft problem, and suggested I contact Microsoft to have them grant me
additional rights as a power user.

I tried the fix described in this thread with no success. I would
appreciate any additional suggestions.
