Bogus Entry In AutoPlay List For Music CD

P

PinguJohn

I have a bogus entry in the AutoPlay list that comes up when I put a Music CD
in my CD drive.
The entry also appears if I right click on the drive in windows explorer and
chose Properties then AutoPlay and then Music CD.

The entry is a string of unknown characters, which could be chinese, and
underneath is "using <need provider>"

Does anyone know how to remove this entry from the list.

I am running Windows XP Home SP2

Thanks for the link Ramesh.

I downloaded CleanHandlers and then ran the "scan and fix invalid entries"
twice, with a reboot in between, which appears to have sorted out the problem.

Thanks for your help.
