AT Command Session

Hi everybody,
We are using AT commands to get the signal strength of of underlying
connection of modem. The problem is i can't use the same port when modem is
connected to internet. I am connecting with modem using its port. Is there
any way to create a AT command session with modem by directly specifying the
device? Or i may be able to use the same port in share mode?

pls help me out here. Thanks

Use a terminal emulator to connect to the ISP. Then issue the command
to check signal strength.

Thanks for feedback.

Actually the problem is not related to Command or Online mode.

While testing in Terminal service in two Scenarios:
1. We can't create a AT command session once "Modem is connected"
2. We can't "Connect the Modem" to internet if AT command session is open

The problem is we can't use the same port to open two session. Is there a
way to create AT command session with device directly instead of going
through Port? Or Can we open a port in share mode

Everything has to do with port usage.. plsssssss .. any assistance would be
great help.

Connect to ISP without Modem?

If i use Hyper Terminal then i can't open two session because that port is
busy. Is there a way to solve port problem?

While testing in Terminal service in two Scenarios:
1. We can't create a AT command session(Hyper Terminal) once "Modem is
connected"
2. We can't "Connect the Modem" to internet if AT command session is open

Why this happens is because of port sharing issue. pls help me out here.

What I was saying is dial the modem in the terminal emulator. The
modem will connect, but you probably won't be able to log in. However,
you can then check the connection quality.
