App to add pointer/arrow to jpeg

J

I want to point to something in a jpeg image.

Is there a simple app which can add a pointer or an arrow to an
existing jpeg?

20/20 can do what you want. The only web link I can find for downloading
is at http://www.sofotex.com/20/20-download_L230.html, though the "home
page" link goes to a gambling site. However the download link does work.

Hope this helps.

.... 90% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the other 3%?

Hi Dadioh

I use MW snap but for copying screens. I don't see anything in the
menus which would let me add a pointer or arrow.

Edit
Add Cursor
Arrow (or whatever)

There are only 2 freeware programs that I have found which have
provisions for annotations of lines, arrows and text boxes. Both
programs combine the ability with screen capture. The first one I
found is the previously mentioned 20/20. The downside of it is that it
has a forced add that appears a few days after you install the program.

The other program is Screenshot Captor. The down side of it is if you
don't want to donate, you have to get some code from the site to
eliminate a nag for 6 months and then you have to go back and get more
code to operate another 6 months. Finally after a year you can get
some code to eliminate the nag permanently. In spite of the
inconvienence, I think it is worth it and consider it better than
20/20. The screen shot functions work good also.

Thanks. I hadn't loaded a pic so I didn't notice the grayed out
option for cursor. I can see you can't out-Dadi a Dadioh. :)

welcome. How did you make it working now?

No idea. AFAIK, it is as it always was (originally, before recent
experimentation)

it's crazy: This repost shows the faulty sig "--" without the Space on
the third position again as you can see above :-(

It is down at the bottom. Little black diamond. Click it and it gives you
several options including mouse pointer, hand, hourglass cursors and more I
used it today MWsnap. Well you did say existing, but you gotta take the
picture with MWsnap in order to do what you want. But it a monkey could
take a picture of an existing picture filed away on the hard drive and
voila!

I don't know what's more pathetic, Jack Abramoff's sleaze or Republican
paralysis in the face of it. Abramoff walks out of a D.C. courthouse in
his pseudo-Hasidic homburg, and all that leading Republicans can do is
promise to return his money and remind everyone that some Democrats are
involved in the scandal, too.

That's a great G.O.P. talking point: some Democrats are so sleazy, they
get involved with the likes of us.

Screen capture saves in bitmap using lots of mem, right. Mirek's MwSnap can
save as bitmap but why when jpeg is so much smaller? And as stated earlier,
it has options at bottom (after snapping) for cursers and that kind of
thing.
