another mail problem

ive been reading the posts and still cant figure this out.i can send mail but
cant recieve, my server info is correct and ive turned off outbound and
inbound scan also filtering is off ,i have mcafee and i read alot of posts
that its a real problem but do i really need to get rid of it? as im thinking
maybe its aol because mail going to my isp mail adress is beig picked up by
aol instead also when i open winmail a dial up box appears and wants me to
connect through there but im already connected!? and there is no dial up
connection set up on my pc! can anyone help? obviously im very green in this
computer world so thanks a bunch for any info!

Check your settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Connection
.. Also, you can try uninstalling McAfee (remove and setup your account
again) and if it has no impact, you can reinstall it.

thank for your time steve although i kept the info you gave me i dont know
if it worked or not though because i decided not to mess with windows mail
anymore im just gonna stick with my webmail
