setting up additional Mail boxes

Well im very new to windows mail, in fact only a few hours, and trying to set
up the email has proven to be a real headache.

On outlook express, my husband and i had seperate email accounts, we logged
in to them seperate and for some reason i dont appear to be able to do this
with windows mail.

I put all our info in as you do when adding an account and did this twice
one with my details and one with my husbands (pop3, smtp email address etc)
when i opened up windows mail, all the mail was going in to one box and not
serperate.

I changed it so we had to enter the password each time to login thinking
this might open it up as serperate, no.

Can anyone suggest to me how i get round this, i know there must be a way,
but im getting so frustrated with it now, i cant see what im looking at, ive
been trying for so long.

I would appreciate any help

Thanks x

Four possibilities:

1. Use different Windows Users

2. Make new folders and make a message rule like this:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account
Move it to the fjsmjs folder
and Stop processing more rules

3. Use Windows Live Mail which has separate folders for each account:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

4. Buy WMIDs http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/Default.aspx

As you have discovered, Windows Mail puts email from all accounts into the
same Inbox. There's no setting to change that.
But there are a few alternatives...

1. Create folders for each email account and create message rules to move
email addressed to each account into the appropriate folder.

2. Create and use different Windows Users, each with WM accessing only
their email account.

3. Use the newer Windows Live Mail which has separate folders for each
account:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

4. Purchase WMIDs which adds identities to WM
http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/Default.aspx

5. Use a different email program, like Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird.

Hi,

I just wanted to check with you, i have added my husbands email account to
windows mail, and i have downloaded windows live mail and added my email
account to that one, both seem to be working fine and independantly, is this
correct? The emails wont get crossed over or anything they should remain
seperate. One easy solution if it has worked, all appears ok.

Thanks x

Yes, you and your husband's emails will be kept in separate
folders in Windows Live Mail.
