Another error - 80240016

This software is pretty rubish .. The antispy Beta was stable and worked well..

The new seems to bear little resemblence....

looking at the posts their seem to be many many problems.. looks like an
alpha product to me.

So I took the update from Windows Update and all seems fine

Thanks for your quick response.. sorry I was in a bad mood yesterday..

I guess that I was expecting that this was an evolution of ms antispy..but
as you / others have said it pretty much a new product.. if that is so then
perhaps it might have been made clearer.. but I am probably ( like others I
suspect) guilty of not reading all the posts / doc and jumping in with some
pre-conceived ideas

I'm glad to hear that updating via Windows Update worked. The primary source
of errors via AutoUpdate is that the user is on a managed corporate network
where the company policy does not provide these updates via the internal
server autoupdate connects to.

There are, however, other causes--but I don't have a clear list. It is
possible that some bugs related to updating may have been fixed in the last
engine code update--I don't know for sure--I'll watch the posts here and see.
