Alert scrolls off screen

I just installed the beta and went to start an application (Application
Updater Manifest Editor) and an alert appeared and scrolled all the way to
the top of the screen. I was not able to 'catch it' to Allow the program to
run.

I run my taskbar oriented to the left side of the screen and the bottom left
corner of the screen doesn't not have a taskbar. I moved the taskbar to
it's default position and the alert stayed. It's like the alert didn't have
anything to grab onto when it appeared, so it floated to the top.

This is a known bug, it will be fixed, in the mean time, you just have to
put your task bar back at the bottom if you want to see the AntiSpyware
Notifications.

Noticed that problem too, but also have something similar
with the taskbar. After installation, the taskbar is
alway resizing, and will not display running programs.
Tried everything I know, inluding screaming and yelling.
Any ideas?

And this is after you installed Microsoft AntiSpyware, right? If it is doing
that, you either uninstall the program and download it again from the
website and install again. Also, make sure you disable any additional
security utilities running on your system before installing Microsoft
AntiSpyware. If the problem persist, then its best you just uninstall it and
wait until a more stable build or beta 2 arrives.

I've been reading a message from someone who fixed a printer by the
judicious use of a very large (framing) hammer. It is very tempting to
consider the use of such a tool with Microsoft Antispyware. There seem to
be loose nails and pieces falling off--it needs some work.

I haven't seen your taskbar issue, nor do I recall seeing it posted here.
It isn't impossible that this is a generic issue with XP, and not directly
connected to spyware or Microsoft Antispyware. A public Windows support
group might get better advice on this than we can offer here. If you shut
down Microsoft Antispyware, by right-clicking on the system tray icon, does
the problem with the taskbar go away?

Thanks for posting Chuch - I have the same problem,
little windows floating from the bottom of screen up and
off the top, too fast to read. I, too, have my taskbar
situated to the left. Now I know how to fix it.
Did you ever also get a an alert notice
from "GIANTASAlert:MessengerService", sitting like an
open application in your left-sided taskbar? I have one
which does nothing when left clicking on it, and simply
has a hover-popup reiterating it's name when right
clicked on. It will not go away. ?? Cheers, IrishEyes
