After reformat Video won't play

I have lost the ablity to play video on WMP and Power DVD. The dvd or video
clip will play, sound is there but no video image. Is there a setting error
that I can correct?
I have XP Home. Thanks for any help.

Is the new install fully updated? Video Driver,
DirectX, Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shock
Wave Player, etc...etc...

Try the free VLC Media Player:

What decoder are you using?

Sorry but where do I find the decoder info?
Also sorry for the dup posting, but I got an error while trying to post.
